Flag was a watershed album for the group. On one hand, it is a refinement of all the ideas the band had been following through the '80s, on the other, in the wake of their high-profile success with "Oh Yeah," Yello had reached the point where ideas turned into self-parody -- the cover art of Deiter Meier and Boris Blank pulled together into a human knot is horrifically appropriate.

Yello fans already know how good this album is. If you're like me and have only had the cassette tape, and than later the CD, the vinyl was fantastic to finally hear. I'm not an audiophile, and I have an entry level turntable, and still. the sound is superior. The presence and full range of makes it worth finding on vinyl/5().

Double vinyl LP pressing. album from the Swiss Electronic duo. Yello are, without doubt, one of the most influential bands in the wide and open context of Electronic music. From their earliest incarnation as slick Swiss guys with a strange back story making very odd Disco, their music has permeated everything from comedy films to /5().

This was Yello's first real exposure in the UK and the LP did pretty well on the back of The Race, which, let's face it, was pretty extraordinary for a pop record for the time. Interesting to see that people don't seem to like it now. I think it stands up OK, even if it does feel like a singles + filler type album.
